When you don't have the exact part number, exploded diagrams are the fastest way to identify the correct component. This guide shows a practical, repeatable workflow you can use for most FPT engine models.
1) Start with the correct engine model
Pick your engine model from the catalog first. Different variants can share similar assemblies, so the model is the key filter.
2) Open the diagram that matches your assembly
Examples:
- Crankcase
- Cylinder head
- Oil sump
- Fuel system
Choose the diagram that best matches the component you're working on.
3) Use callout numbers to locate the part in the list
On the diagram, each component usually has a callout number. In the parts list, find the matching callout row to locate:
- Part number (SKU / MPN)
- Part name / description
- Quantity
4) Add items to your Quote Cart
Add the required parts to your Quote Cart. If you're unsure between similar parts, add both and include a short note about your engine details.
5) Request a quote
Submit your request and we'll respond with availability and an offer.
