Exploded diagrams are designed to help you identify the right part even when you don't know the part number. Once you understand callouts and the parts list, the process becomes straightforward.
What is a callout number?
A callout number is the small number placed next to a component on the diagram. The same number appears in the parts list as a row reference.
How to match diagram → parts list
- Open the diagram that matches your assembly.
- Locate the callout number next to the component.
- Find the same callout number in the parts list.
- Confirm the part number, name/description, and quantity.
Notes and supersessions
Some rows include notes (e.g., “use with variant X”). If you're unsure, include your engine details in your quote request so compatibility can be confirmed.
Tip for faster identification
If the diagram has multiple similar items (fasteners, plugs, seals), use the callout + quantity column to narrow down the correct row.
